Yeah man it's awesome, I use it on my rat panel, easy to use and looks great. Just wish I could upload a pic for you.

Any good for bringing up a good shine Perezoso? Should I polish up the paint underneath first?
How much of a 1litre tin do you reckon to do your Panel?

You can't easily polish it as it is pretty soft and gets very liquid at higher temps, the finish is satin. It's great stuff for preserving paint or patina, but it does pick up dirt pretty easily. One litre should do a panel - I go over my type 3 every six months or so and I've haven't used the tin yet. One tip, leave the tin out in the sun for an hour or so and you can wipe it on with a rag.

I tried penetrol as an alternative. Damn impressed with the results.

I used 1/3 of a L to do a whole car, 4-5 coats, plan to do few more coats later as it takes some time to fully harden and shrink into the paint.

AW is the same sort of thing we paint on bare steel machinery parts etc. preserves material for storage etc. It's not really something designed for buffing/polishing. Nice matte look to preserve surface rusted surfaces, not sure why you would put over paint.

That was the answer I was looking for. The screed on their site said about over paint. I'd like to bring the shine up on the original paint then put some sort of seal over it. Not used to having cars that shine.
Even my work ute only gets washed when it rains!

penetrol really brought the colour and somewhat of a shine ( slightly satin finish) on one of my cars. went from light powdery grey/blue back to near factory deep vivid blue. It really made that much of a difference.

best thing is in the sun it looks really shiny and beads like mad when its rains.

Penetrol will stain the paint, use a good quality wax

its actually clearer than clear coat I had from protec.

reason I used it is because wax and compound made a mess of the paint as it filled all the pores and fine crows feet with dried wax and compounds.

looked like absolute ass a day or two after.

of course it all depends on how bad your paint is, penetrol did 100 times better job for me than trying to polish and wax paint dust.

I have a parts car I did the first testing on 2 months ago and its been out in the hot sun and weather since. It reconditioned the paint and stopped it flaking off entirely. its solid as now. looks great with the preserved patina but vibrant color back.

I used Ankor wax on my bug. It worked well ,It doesn't completely dry though(as said above). Mine was a daily driver and it did get a lot of dirt and road grime stuck on it. It defiantly did the the job though, the car lived outside and it preserved the paint and rust well. Had to re coat it about every three months.

I found penetrol to fully harden and tackiness gone after few weeks. its as hard as the original paint now.

sounds like it might be better in that regard.

Penetrol is a paint additive and Ankor wax is just a protective coating designed to be easily removed with thinners etc

bit more testing on penetrol. been 2 months since application.

I decided to test out polishing a penetrol coated panel with fine compound and wax. just a real quite buff by hand as I didn't want to cut the penetrol off.
