A message left on the Club VW Sydney website:
We will be shooting a feel good spot for VW Japan on Sat 28th/Sun29th/Mon30th March in and around Sydney. It's not a specific new model VW we are
advertising, more a sequence of vignettes about people and their VW cars/vans etc down through the ages.
Sometimes the best way to do this is by simply contacting owners to see if they are keen to be involved. In return for their help ( after all we are
a commercial enterprise) we want to make it worthwhile for the owners as well. We can offer each vehicle/owner $500 cash on the day plus reasonable
fuel costs.
I am having to source 30+ different VW's for the shoot and logistically we would only need the owners Beetles/Kombis/Golfs/ in fact every VW across
the spectrum of model and year for 2-4hours tops any given day of the three day shoot . Locations are being decided and we will give ample notice of
where the cars would need to be and when.
The process would be that owners could submit to me via email a jpg of their VW which would be passed along (without contact details) to the client at
VW Japan. They would then make a selection and pass the results to me (who would be the sole paint of contact).
There are no stunts or anything of this nature or any dangerous driving.
If you would like your VW to be in a paid photo shoot, please contact me ASAP at the details below.
Please feel free to contact with any questions you may have.
thanks again

An update from Tony Campbell:
Thanks for putting up the message, got some good replies so is a big help.
The Japanese director is stuck on getting a silver Karmann Ghia coupe. Also an unrestored (but registered) split screen kombi ute and a 70's Passat
(pref 2 door). Can anyone help?
Would it be appropriate for me to put up a post about these cars?. Sorry to be a pest.
Thanks heaps for your help
