What's the deal with classic vee dub?
lunar_c - May 6th, 2015 at 01:43 PM

I have placed an order with them before and had to email and ring them to get a hurry on .. I'm regretting having placed another order with them but they had some type 3 parts I couldn't find anywhere else.

I've been trying to ring them for 2 days and it's always busy and I've emailed them about he order I placed over a week ago and gotten no reply.

What's the deal with these guys?!

Use someone else

Vintage Vee Dub Supplies if you want quality parts the first time, and ring them, that way you get all the advice that comes with them.... the difference is, use a shop that actually fits and uses the stuff. Das Resto Parts at the Gold Coast is a another worthy of your custom.

George is a lovely chap when you can get to talk to him.....

I am STILL waiting for $300 worth of parts first ordered in Feburary!

He told me he doesn't even check emails, so don't bother. (gets too many!)

I have way over 200 calls to him "user busy"

I actuall got him yesterday!!! ( 10 days after my 3 day promise!) "no problem mate, you should have them by now, I will check and call you back", still waiting.... C'mon George!

He did actually say he will "re-send" all of the missing items, so maybe they never left yet??

He's obviously super busy, maybe needs to employ a VW enthusiast teenager with computer and phone skills!

Be patient, forget emails, just keep ringing, then don't hold your breath! When he says 3 days mate, they are from an unknown calander, not ours:lol:

Great for all his local shoppers, absolute boll***s for the rest of us!

Me, bitter, no  Will I use CVD again? Err no......

Has anyone actually told him about these posts? Surely if he knew how bad the reports are he'd do something about it! Or is he just happy with the way things are?

Why would George be bothered about these posts? He's still selling parts despite the bad press! Dave

I've voted with my feet, Classic VW online seems pretty good so far. Ordered a glove box catch for the Notch, arrived in 5 days. Happy with that.

He is loosing/lost many customers due to crap service, which is kind of pointless if you run a businesss....

Bought (among heaps of other stuff) a Pertronix flame thrower kit in Feb, got the dissy, still have no coil, even CVD don't have one to give me yet? It will be Expressed to me when he gets one.
