VW places in California
kathawkephotos - August 3rd, 2015 at 12:44 AM

Hi all,

I'm off to california (LA, monterey, San Fran, Davis, LA) and i was after some suggestions for vw shops/ parts places to visit if i get the chance?

Looking for 60's type3, beetle & splitty parts.... i'm definitely a traditionalist so the whole "cal-look"/ aftermarket wheels etc doesn't interest me much. Just good, quality suppliers or workshops.

I already have ISP, Pierside, West Coast Metric, IPC... any other suggestions.

Also open to "you should meet so-and-so, they're a real vw nut!/ so-and-so has this vw you just have to see!" suggestions too haha.

Cheers kiddies.
Kat

Hi Kat

I will try to hook you up with some people on Facebook, there is often meets a Burger shops etc which are great to attend and the only way to find out about them is from local VW people.

vw54: yep, pomona is on while i'm there, unfotunaltey though it is on whilst i am in the middle of photographing a race team at Laguna Seca.
I am in CA for both pomona swap meet, and Pebble Beach Concours D'elegance, yet i cannot attend either... it is killing me slowly!!

Steve that would be really great, i don't know how much time i will have up my sleeve, but i would love to meet some of the LA dubbers!
