Owen Mathias has passed away at Forster aged 94,Owen was the Service Manager at Bert Tickner's VW,Rover/Land Rover dealership -Mid North Coast Motors in Taree and the new premises in Taree South in the 1950's until 1972 when he started his own business in Tuncurry.
He trained a lot of VW mechanics (including me) in that time,he loved the motor trade and promoted the Volkswagen whenever it was possible and worked to be the best dealership possible. He will be sadly missed by most of his co workers.
