1970 beetle curb weight

whats the curb weight of a 1970 beetle 1500 some say 786kg others 810kg does anybody know what the go is. im looking into a engine conversion and its on the change over in QLD any help would be awesome

My owners manual for a '68 says the unladen weight is 820kg with a 380kg payload giving a gross weight of 1200kg. Not sure how that translates into curb weight.
