It would be good if they knew about VW's peculiar mechanical problems, not saying this dealership doesn't as I'm unfamiliar with this company, but here in Newie they seem to be greatly lacking, I've got a problem with my 2007 diesel Caddy but the locals just tell me it will cost $4.5k to fix but they don't really know what the problem is...
1. Why don't they have the knowledge to diagnose the problem ( surely they could link with other VW dealerships to get the info they require ) ?
2. How can they give me a price if they don't know what the problem is?
Give me old technology any day. 😳😳

So this will be Taree's fifth different Volkswagen dealership, according to the annual dealer listings:

1. Mid North Coast Motors Pty Ltd., Crescent Avenue. 1956-1968.
2. Mid North Coast Motors Pty Ltd., Pacific Highway. 1968-1974.
3. M.N.C. Motors Pty Ltd., 70-80 Victoria St. 1974-1982.
4. Taree Continental Car Sales, Pacific Hwy & Railway Parade. 1982-2007.
5. Taree Volkswagen, 1-5 Chatham Ave. 2016-

1 & 2 may be the same as Crescent Ave and Pacific Hwy are the same thing. Also M.N.C seems to be a rename of Mid North Coast Motors.

Looks like the current site was an Ultratune just before it was redeveloped into a VW dealership.

Five different VW dealerships in one town is a lot, but by no means the record. Wagga Wagga has had 9 different VW dealers. Dubbo and Gosford have both had 8; Coffs Harbour and Tamworth have had 7; Newcastle and Maitland have both had 6. All this chopping and changing over the years is perhaps one reason why VW's dealer service and product knowledge is less than it could be. The VW company itself is no different - it has had at least 8 different Australian head offices over the years!

first three would all be Mid north coast Motors, possibly different locations, although cresent ave, pacific highway and Victoria st could all be used to describe the one location.

taree continental cars, could also be the same location, believe it or not.

Grumble will know the ins n outs of it all.
