Has anyone on here got into it?
We've never done it before, there was on event on Sunday just gone that the kids wanted to enter so we decided to build a few..........
Huge thank you to my buddy's Fingers and Micka for there help!!
Isla's (my 4yr old) brief was Wonder Woman's car, Micka came up with this cool beach Buggy design, and I designed and 3D printed up some BRMs for
it..........
Needless to say she was pretty wrapped with it
Keely (my 8yr old daughter) wanted something Starwars, Micka again dreamed big with "Rey's scavenger barge"...........
Brodie (11yr old son) wanted a traditional Cal Looker, 36hp cover, again 3D printed BRMs and Blue flake paint.......
I decided to go all out on something stupid, the "high roller", 2 36hp covers welded together to stand upright, green flake paint...
In Street mode, go-kart slicks.....
and in race mode with 3D printed fuchs......
None of them were very competitive on the day but by far the best in show
Here's one I built in about an hour, when I found out there was an event near me that day. Couldn't believe it when I finished 2nd outright.
thin wheels is the trick make eum razor sharp
Every VW Warwick for the last 9 years has featured VW tappet cover racing as the main entertainment after the dinner on Saturday night. Huge laughs and plenty of innovation. The VWDCQ built a track many years ago and now donate it to the Warwick weekend.
The "adults" have more fun than the kids at the dinner!!
Dave is the official starter, and is open to bribes.
Here is a wining tappet cover racer at VW Warwick Drags
These wheels were turned from old VW pistons!
