Does anybody still have contact with a bloke who was converting one to electric? From memory his handle was "Kiwiev" or something similar.He has gone off the radar.

Few months ago I contacted the bloke in LA. They convert Kombis and Beetles and some 356 at a whopping cost of US$45k plus the cost of the car!!!
