Just got back from hol's on the Gold Coast with the wife and kids. Yeah great fun -
We started playing Punch Buggy but soon noticed wwaayyy more Kombis up there. The second week up there we counted spot on 100 "different"
kombis in 7 days - over a doven a day! Included splits to wassers. Mainly bays though, followed by water cooled vanagons (or what ever they are
called) then air cooled vanagons then splits. Bay pop tops certainly won!
We went down to the Condong sugar mill and then across to Cabarita Beach and came across a graveyard of Bays!
Would have to have been 15 in various states. Upside down, on the side, jammed in totalled and fine. Dunno who owned them but there were certainly
some good panel there.
Even a splitty but you would need a crane to get it out - it was snug with bays.
I took a coulple of non digital pics that i will scan and post.
I want my Kombi! Wife is threatening physical violence if i aint finished.....soon!
Motor looks sweet with its powder coated tin.
Will post some pics of Daisy soon!
