I love it, that has to go on the project list!!!!:thumb

KruizinKombi - October 14th, 2002 at 05:30 PM

Very cool, but the internal heat build-up would have to be a CPU killer!!!:o

555bug - October 14th, 2002 at 06:22 PM

little to no heat in that bad boy as the eden form factor mb & chip require no fan...yup cool runnings :) I've colected most of the parts as I want one hmmm holidays

KruizinKombi - October 14th, 2002 at 06:39 PM

All the components including power supply are in a smaller than stock case with virtually no ventilation and you don't think heat will be a problem?

A kombi verison would be much cooler......and more spacious :thumb
Cool idea though :D

KOM123 - October 14th, 2002 at 09:30 PM

Yeah that's what I would like to do, a Kombi version because that's what I drive and hopefully it would be a little easier to do also :) Still don't know if I'd have the skills though!

Whoa. That thing is so unbelieveably awesome. Its the perfect thing to cruise the forum with. An ordinary pc case looks close enough to a bay window kombi anyways, a box. ;)

I agree, a kombi case would be much better.

So, where are we going to find a 1/10th scale kombi shell?

Bugged Again - October 15th, 2002 at 09:45 PM

that's just the dogs bollocks of computers.

Wonder if it is remote controlled so you can drive it around in between surfing the net.

to find the kombi shell just go to a kitchen place and buy a bread box :P

Dual cab with canopy so that you can use the side compartments for CD writer etc:)

KruizinKombi - October 18th, 2002 at 09:19 PM

Nah, clear injection-molded plastic pre-'67 panel with a sliding side door giving access to storage devices!

I must say though, I love the LED lights he put on that bug. Some neon tubes underneath would finish it off nicely!
