Moon brand type 2 roof rack

I am considering a rack for my splitty . I preffer the Moon vintage rack over the westy style .Has anyone seenthe quality of these? They are both similar prices.

The Moon one is the Flat 4 rack, same as the pic - different styling to the westy ones. In stock $799...

Hey Jim,

Had the Westy repro's from Empi (Taiwanese / chinese, but not bad), about $900, also had the PIP (US made) pretty nice, about $1200. Have some new ones due in DEC 03, should be really nice & about $900.....

Guy what is the quaility of the Moon ? flat 4 rack?

Quality is good, they are designed for flat packing so they bolt apart. They are powder coated, we prefer zinc plating as it "never" rusts but it adds cost. The clamps are real sturdy. Its a different design to the "classic" racks, but it fits & works well.
