How much is it !!!
I think its $20 entry, and petrol up the coast...
$30 bucks i think which isn't to bad for a days entertainment. It's pretty full on

I am going as a spectator for Saturday only. It should be a good day, although the VW numbers have been dwindling. I'm not even driving my car as
I don't want to have to worry about it in the car park.
:sandrine
I am going.
Only for Sunday....anyone else?
We could have a get together there?
Hopefully I can see/meet another forum member there to chat VW's with.
Let me know
Judy
I will be there, from b4 open to after close. be in a vwdcq shirt, so if u see me, say hi. just look out for the big guy with the volkswagen racing cap on and the afro trying to escape from under it.
:sandrine

Judy
well saturday is over and done with. It was an awesome day. Lots of hot cars and girls!!! and xome very nice and fast vw's racing. U all have a second chance tommorrow to get there!:beer
Make sure you post us some pics please:thumbsandrine
i will try, but have much time
well i've just come back from Sundays racing. rotaries in cortina's, rotaries in gemini's, rotaries in datsuns even rotaries in suzuki
vitara's rotaries, rotaries and more rotaries.:cussing
However there were 4 vw's there got to see them all run to varying degrees of success. Penrose beetle looks awesome and did a 10.6. Nice twin 48
weber beetle from action day there too ,nice car.
it was a really good day. but have to say the guys from a particular rotary workshop are complete wankers. but other than that it was awesome. It was god to see the 2 drag bugs go head to head.
any pics?
2 busy working only saw about 15mins of racing
this airbrushing was very cool.
I didn't even go but I am guessing that that particular workshop was PAC PERFORMANCE,
I have actually said to Rocky, "Its so hard to be humble isn't it?"
and it went straight over his head.
They dance around, like kids teasing in the playground like their mother never taught them any better.

Went to Jambo Sunday.
Great to see the VW's there still racing
late on Sunday...
Amazing to see the crowds faces when they see the times they pull.
I didn't catch up with Kafer at all...pity
& I looked out for you Bix, but never saw anyone from the Qld VW drivers club.
I looked for their tent & for the first time
I don't think it was up...
Shame I missed you guys
Judy
Yeh what happened to the vwdcq tent wandered around for ages looking for it but couldn't find it. Kept an eye out for you Judy but looking for
the proverbial needle in a haystack. Saw a rotary powered kombi in the carpark from action day i think. He would have been in rotary heaven.
Didn't seem as busy this year but maybe that was because of the 2 day event.
and yes I agree some of these "teams" have got there heads way to far up their a#$es
Due to a clash of events this year, the vwdcq voted to attend the carnival of the flowers. So only a few of us were able to attend.
Talking to mark, the event had larger numbers, but spread over 2 days.
U probablt say me, i was hard to miss, a bright blue mambo loud shirt and an orange safetey vest, stood out from a mile away.
One thing i noticed after dealing with most of the teams, the rotary boys are the biggest wankers follwed by the wrx drivers then skyline, and have to
say any of the oldschool hot 4;s drivers are the nicest blokes.

If it was up to me i'd take the event back to its roots "fast fours and rotaries" not import sixes if there's enough of a following let them stage there own event and open it up to all sixes.....:bounce
Hey bix were you involved in the marshalling ? I remember one of the marshalls getting hassled by a rather frustrated rotary driver because the marshall wouldn't let him go thru a barrier to join the queue. guy went thru anyway much to disgust of marshall.
that probably was me. If it was an older guy, it was probably john, if it was a younger guy it was me. everybody but 2 people were going the right
way, they were told at briefing etc hey had to go the long way.
