I went both saturday and sunday and got heaps of video and pictures.
The only VWs i saw though were 2 Beetles which ran 10s and a yellow manx which ran 12s. Did I miss any other veedubs racing or was that all this
year?
On sunday we were parked near a green-yellow Kombi which had a rather large exhaust poking out behind the back wheel and instead of a door on the
engine bay it had what seemed to be a radiator. After closer look I noticed that it was power by a 13B Turbo. At the end of the day I overheard
someone say that it was 350 at the wheels, i'm not sure whether that kw or hp. Has anyone else seen it around or know about it?
Enough of the garbage. Here a a couple of pictures from sunday. Didn't see any veedubs on saturday.
Too big, I'll try again.

The 2 Beetles
The Manx
The mad kombi
Kombi again.
Kombi once again.
Does this give any hints?
The kombi has a 13B with a large t04 turbo on it. The owner is very cool and approachable. He currently has about 350HP at the wheels.
His gearbox is full of albins custom gear sets because the vw ones couldn't handle it.
When we arrived sunday my little brother noticed it, so we went and had a little look. When we looked underneath and saw the big T04 rigged up to the
13B I was almost drooling.
I am a rotary fanatic but am totally in love with veedubs so it really got me interested.
I'm currently in the process of doing minor restoration and paint job on my 1980 Passat GLD (diesel) sedan, which I am hoping to use as a daily
driver for the next 10 years.
After seeing that kombi, once I have the passat back on the road i'll definately be looking for a beetle or kombi to fit with a 13B Turbo as my
next project.
And with the money i save on diesel in the passat during the week I might be able to afford to drive the 13B on weekends
