jenz58 - September 27th, 2003 at 11:02 PM

Is anyone else having trouble seeing pics, Avatars and smilies, or is just me??? *cry*

The bottom bar is saying that it is 'Downloading picture http://........'

35 items remaining *surprised look*

jenz58 - September 27th, 2003 at 11:14 PM

OK this is so weird:alien

I've put a second window up with the forum, and all the pics are there but on the other one they're not (well Grey 57, Pyro and matara have Avatars; and twoguns has his Buses With Attitude pic still showing; and a couple of the smilies have survived???)

Must be something in my puter:jesus

p.s. if I was posting from the other window it would look a lot less colourful:(

Wah, this must sound crazy??? and I'm sober. Think I may have a virus???!!!!:o

Jen,

it's likely to be your ISP - they are probably having transparent proxy problems.

I have no image problems at my end.

Zac you missed all 4 seasons today here in Melbourne, just like the song!!!!:D

Some of the northerners who came down for the footy looked very cold as they wandered around the city this morning in the rain, hail and wind, brrrr:(

Bright blue sky when I left work and raining by the time I'd walked to the QV market:jesus

Hopefully tomorrow will be better, I have plans for the garden:thumb

zac_smits - September 27th, 2003 at 11:58 PM

:repuke

jenz58 - September 28th, 2003 at 12:03 AM

Come on, don't you like a bit of excitement in the air;):bounce

I hate heights, but went absolutely sick with excitement once over the Pacific when we were in the middle of a huge electrical storm. It was so cool

Nah, the winds died down now, it'll be fine:thumb

vanderaj - September 28th, 2003 at 12:07 AM

Zac,

It's strong winds during landing that worry me, and I fly on average about 50-60 times a year.

Take off during bad weather is just fun - sit back and enjoy the ride. They never take off if the weather conditions are too dangerous, but landing is different - they have to land somewhere. :)

He needed to hear that:o;)

Zac some fairy dust for a smooth landing:sandrine

zac_smits - September 28th, 2003 at 12:20 AM

haha thanks guys. i've had a few bad plane experiences already. we had the right engine catch fire during take off last holidays on the choir tour. dropped 200feet, then had to dump all fuel from the aircraft...oxygeny masks...horrific turbulence, lots of emergency vehicles and all very scary.
that was bad
jen....what have i told you about pizie dust? it clogs the engine :P

jenz58 - September 28th, 2003 at 12:24 AM

I thought about that when I sprinkled it:P

Oops, no I didn't think of that but what you said last time. It doesn't clog engines I promise.

That was a bad experience on the tour:( Tomorrow will be fine:thumb (no more pixie dust for now :) )

zac_smits - September 28th, 2003 at 12:27 AM

yeh...if you look around, you'll find you can see your pixie dust trail. it's in every post :P

Im on Optus Cable aswell. I had heaps of problems this morning..

I downloaded the latest service pack for my blowser. And seemed to fix most of the problems.

Give it a try...

jenz58 - September 28th, 2003 at 11:52 AM

Sounds like Optus cable are having conniptions. They use a transparent proxy (like most ISPs) but in Optus's case is a bit too aggressive.

Wait until they sort it out. U2U's work for me just fine.
