Looks like a nice day Dave. Would have loved to have been there. (was actually thinking about it last week)
Reckon we should organise a mini cruise over for this next year.
Is it always on the same weekend?

jenz58 - September 28th, 2003 at 08:05 PM

I'm with Dean, it would be fun to get a cruise from Melbourne happeining next year..

If Valla isn't on that is:D

or do you think we can manage both:cool::thumb

Grey 57 - September 28th, 2003 at 08:08 PM

Jen, we could do both no problem. They are a few months apart. Its only a quick weekender to Sydney. Leave Sat and back on Monday.

jenz58 - September 28th, 2003 at 08:31 PM

OK LOL

I was so tempted to fly again but getting tired of not driving up in one of my rides

KruizinKombi - September 28th, 2003 at 09:16 PM

I'd probably like to tag along too, if it falls in the school holidays again next year. :thumb

jenz58 - September 28th, 2003 at 09:20 PM

Yeh intrepid cruisers!!!

Grey 57 - September 28th, 2003 at 09:26 PM

Be like old times Kol. Need a Kombi along to bring back all the swapmeet booty.

Dont forget the jumper leads:D

helbus - September 28th, 2003 at 11:15 PM

How does it compare size wise with VW Jamboree?

Is the swap meet bigger?

1303Steve - September 29th, 2003 at 12:30 AM

Hi

Im uploading photos to the club site at the moment, www.clubvw.org.au

The 302 bug is not the green one from Campbeltown, its a new car from the shire. And it was at the Nationals. Was it Vic school holidays? There were quiet a few Vics there.

vw54 - September 29th, 2003 at 08:05 AM

Jen, Dean, Col

Yep its always on in September usually the week before the Sydney footy finals which means its on the same weekend of the AFL...

We finished about 3.30 pm so if you guys drove up you could make it home that Sunday nite unless you wanted to stay a few extra days in this great part of the world. ( just rubbing it in ).

The venue is on the south western side of Sydney and close to the M5 or Hume hwy, one of the 5 best things that come out of Victoria. So exit to Mexico would be easy for you guys. Just $3.30 on the toll way to head south.

We had over 200 cars on the day just relaxing no trophies just swap meet with heaps of different bits n pieces.

jenz58 - September 29th, 2003 at 09:39 AM

Cool Dave

Thanks for the info. Us Mexicans are always looking for a good reason to cross the border;)

Steve yes it was/is Vic school holiday time

68AutoBug - September 29th, 2003 at 02:58 PM

I was there. In the mitsubishi :( You cant fit much in the boot of one of those. Just cant beat the functionality of a kombi. I guess it was a good thing though cos today I went out and started cleaning bits for a rebuild. Nothing like a dubless weekend to motivate you.
