Cool,
I have built my own scratch built slot bug too, based on the same Airfix kit, I fabricated my own chassis from brass channel turned my own wheels axles and stinger on the lathe and put a hottie motor (Rabbit )in it, so it would be too fast :D I have another on the way, a model of a fenderless Runtrod.com style bug!
There is a few commercial Beetles availiable at the moment some with pan Americana livery http://www.slotcargarage.com/scgrev0700.htm

Very cool bug. I've got the set with the two new beetle cup cars. Wicked fun. Something about seeing little vw belt around a track.........

I want one, I want one.
Why didn't they have these when I used to go to the track!
There is a new track at the motor museam at Ultimo in Sydney, the Bugger's built it just as I moved away!
Rob......

Hi syncro

That’s a real nice piece of work, you must have way to much time on your hands.
