Is there much difference between a front bonnet on a pre 56 Oval compared with a post 56 ...?

yes there is a difference but mainly say 54 and 55 bonnets were the same

56 to say 59 were the same.

the difference is in the ribs on the underside on bonnet were the hinges bolt on. the average person wont be able to see the difference. some had 2 and some had 3 holes.

I only know one other person who new these differences

And pre 56 bonnets also have a flat triangle plate spot welded under the vw logo.:thumb

Yeah no problems theres about 60 or so little things done that you done really see. Its a combination of ideas from about 15 years or so.

I just keep writing them down and adding to the list until i had enough cash and incentive to do the job

I picked up most of them from looking at other modified cars.:thumb
