Over the next 3 weekends I`ll be performing work on my nephews 1st birthday present.
Going to do a full resto on this little rocket.
Well pulled the whole thing apart.
Started with the wire brush to remove all the lose paint.
Started splashing on the paint stripper.
Love this stuff! LOL
Boring! This part took ages and had to be done twice to remove all the paint.:o
Started cleaning the chassis down with a wire brush.
All this part of the car is still in good working order so it will just be painted later.
Took the wheels off for cleaning.
:o
Now this looks good.
All bare metal. Think the car might look good in silver?
Well this car has had a hard life and is full of dents.
A bit of work with the hammer and some filler.
Well the body is nice and straight and ready for painting.
Next weekend I`ll paint the body and chassis and start work on the bumpers etc and then the weekend after is the big party.:birthday
Any ideas of a colour?
That is so cute
Was wondering when you scored the cabrio LOL
and a resto in three days, hah
Doin for the youth nice stuff...
What a kool Uncle.
Just an Idea
Nice job Nath!!:thumb
Just be careful that you don't decide to keep it when it'a all done!!
NICE
any current pics of u in it testing out the ride?
If only I could fit in it!
Lucky that I have another one in the shed somewhere.:o
Nice work man.. Lucky you had those heavy duty tools..
:birthdayIm thinking kustomkool has the right idea here... go the ultraswanky lo-rider gansta cabrio! He'll love it (both now and 18 odd years
down the track when he decides to restore a big one!)
