I have a mate thats in love with my VW and he was close to buying a beetle but pulled out as he had 'better' things to spend his money on

But now his looking for a van for work to store his fabrics as his in the textile industry, and ive semi convinced to buy a splitty

How much should he expect to pay for a pretty imaculate one?

And anyone got any cool pics of some as i want him to get a splitty:bounce

for a spiltty in semi good condition i reckon about from anywhere from $6000 to $10000. Its also depends where you look, how its been treated etc, just the usual stuff in buying a car.

Volkspower is advertising today in BS&S a ex PMG van that is $5k as a base and add from there.
They said they will fix it up to whatever level you want

its an old postie van. PMG... post master general.
you will find them in all ranges of $$$. but they will all need some work. and if he is using it every day. then you would have to do what ive done and convert to disc brakes and update the mechanical.
as for buying one it would depend on what is done. i reackon good ones are above ten k easy. somne have gone for twenty. i wouldnt sell mine as i just wouldnt get the dollars back. ( try 30K)
but i would tell anyone... 'dont expect to get away with it cheap.'

I dont think my mate is willing to do the Vans up he'd rather one complete with no probs and one thast looks hot

so he should be expecting $10 - $15k?
