The next series of pics is a thanks to Dave Becker for helping me install my new 1600tp.

buzzbug - October 18th, 2003 at 03:41 PM

the old 1300tp that was covered from head to toe in oil and grease, spose that happens if you don't degrease it for a few years.

buzzbug - October 18th, 2003 at 03:43 PM

the new 1600tp after i had the pleasure of degreasing it.

buzzbug - October 18th, 2003 at 03:46 PM

The old motor stripped of all the good bits for the new one.

buzzbug - October 18th, 2003 at 03:47 PM

the gap that needed to be filled

buzzbug - October 18th, 2003 at 03:49 PM

with the gap filled and the accelerater cable and fuel line pipe replaced we were in buiseness.

buzzbug - October 18th, 2003 at 03:55 PM

Well the swap went great, with only the accelerater cable being the only problem, it was a rather successful day. As a mechanical dud i learnt alot from watching dave do his work and also learnt to dregrease my engine a little more often than once every five years. I am now covered in grease and oil as a result. I would like to thank Dave for all the work that he did and all the things that i picked up as a result of the day, and compared to the sad old 1300 that i did have good ol' buzz is now flying down the highway.:D

Lee,
didn't expect to see you on here this early, thought you would still be in the shower scrubbin!

That was one greeeezzy engine:o

buzzbug - October 18th, 2003 at 09:18 PM

hey mate, finally got some solvol onto me and managed to remove the top layer of skin and take all the grease with it. The bug ran so well on the way home, gave it a boot full here and there and it didn't miss a beat. Needles to say i am very chuffed with it.:D:thumb

byronbus - October 19th, 2003 at 09:02 AM

:thumb Nice work, I love those sort of days...Is that Daves shed? I would love a shed like that? :D

buzzbug - October 19th, 2003 at 09:15 AM

hey squiz, those donuts kinda made it home alright, well half of them did anyway.
the gloves were a good idea but they only stoped our hand from all the much, the amount of oil that was on me by the end was suprising, i am still scrubbing away now.
And yes that is Daves shed, or as i like to call it "Wonderland".

buzzbug - October 19th, 2003 at 09:16 AM

and yes robo, there is nothing like a little more power to give you a big s**t eating grin.
