hi there, im just over in Oz from the UK, im based in melbourne at the moment, but im looking to buy a VW to go travelling in in a bit. had one back
in the UK but sold it to come out here-would love to get myself about Oz in one 
please could people let me know where to look for one as i dont know any sites for them over here.
Also a few other general questions; what is the buying process over here-as in insurance, MOT's (or the aussie equivelent), registration etc..
Any help would be most usefull

As your in melbourne you only need to get it registered (Roadworhty) when you buy it. there is no 12 month inspetion like the MOT.
Road Tax here covers minimum insurance (Which is personal injury yours or the other party) So if what you buy has a Roadworthy and is Registered (Road
Tax) thats all you need to start driving ! :thumb

you will also have to get third party insurance. because if you shunt a lamborghini into a porsche showroom window it's gunna cost ya!
or worse still bump into me with no insurance and it'll really cost ya!
