I was wondering if any of you guys or gals had any plans for any type of bed for my 76 kombi. anything would be appreciated but im lookin for sumthing that can sleep more than 1 person.
Its just that me and my mates r goin away at the end of the year and we need to get it sorted out.

The possibilities are endless mate!!
I just have my rear seats in my van which fold down forward in half.. On the engine board bit I have stacked 3 equal size pieces of 18 mm mdf which slot together with dowel pegs and then three legs which slot in at the front end to keep it supported.. I have a double futon which is stored on top of the boards and is very comfortable indeed.
It takes about 5 minutes to put together and is great to sleep in.
If yo live in Brisbane I can show you but just use your imagination
Hint: the boards and mattress help to quieten the engine too

We rang around wreckers and pulled one out of a bus. The cover and sponge were stuffed, but the mechanisms were the bit we were most interested in.

The wrecker let me have them for free if I pulled it out myself. :thumb
