twoguns - November 3rd, 2003 at 04:18 PM

we all had fun, i think although a few casualties...

twoguns - November 3rd, 2003 at 04:21 PM

barb form NSW suffered early after banging the floor a few times. she finally broke and the oil flowed freely... and out came the troops.

HotRodMatt - November 3rd, 2003 at 04:22 PM

Looks like fun....

Each time I see buggies in the sand I start thinking I want one!

twoguns - November 3rd, 2003 at 04:22 PM

sand was soft in places and so it required a team effort.

twoguns - November 3rd, 2003 at 04:23 PM

again

twoguns - November 3rd, 2003 at 04:24 PM

mean while the rest of us carried on.

little competition was at hand:bounce

twoguns - November 3rd, 2003 at 04:26 PM

i was winning... but hard to tell as after this shot the digicamerea packed it in. too much sand i think.

BiX - November 3rd, 2003 at 08:54 PM

does the car have to be street registered to get on the dunes? or is it like private property?

Black_math - November 3rd, 2003 at 09:11 PM

Nope nope:D

twoguns - November 3rd, 2003 at 10:11 PM

yes apparently you have to have a permit style rego for the beach or a rego'd buggy to legally drive on the beach.

and sorry lardo, the white man was down 0 from 2. maybe you will have to take the reigns next time. he even asked me to take it easier the second time.:D;):D

I asked myself the same question when i saw it so i got out my trusty "explore australia" touring companion and discovered that it is in Newcastle NSW.
Hope that helps, now you will be like me and getting ready for the next one!!!

If you have a registered car then you pay $5 for a weekend permit or $12.50 for a 6 month permit.
If unregistered you have to go to the RTA and get a recreational vehicle permit and then pay the same for the permit at stockton. Have no idea what is involved and what it costs for the recreational permit from the RTA.
Hope that helps.

Mark.
