if someone can guess what it is they are the best?

i don't know what it is, but i'd hazzard a guess that it's off a later watercooled model....

anyone else have an idea?

2 ideas,

1-is it a mould for a vw badge?
2- Could it be a drain cover or cover of some sort from the engine or diff area?

its gotta be off of a watercooled somethign or other. I see a Torx head bolt underneath it. And ive never seen one on an aircooled car.

got to be an engine, i have no clue where or what one tho.

I reckon it ain't from a Volkswagen.

I can't imagine VW casting a plate where their trademark is malformed.

I found it on my Oil Sump of my Audi is that crazy or what.

Good guess guys thats said it was from a watercooled VW and good guess to Matt too saying it not from a VW its from an Audi.
