Just doing the obligatory 'hi, i'm me blah blah blah post, i'm new (you don't say...)etc.'

brought my bug a week and a bit ago and am still in the 'finding all i can about VW's stage'

oh and the 'praying nothing goes wrong with my new baby' stage.

have read through alot of the forums, all good stuff. and have allready got a very long wishlist of tools, and funky VW accesories.

i come from a long line of beetle owners and drivers (allthough not in my lifetime) so it's pretty much in my blood

hello and welcome to the forums physcho! in a few weeks you will realise that we are all absolute nutters and you will run screaming! ....just kidding! :D I too am a 3rd generation dubber, and once you have one in your hot little hands you learn about them preeeetty quick! so have you got any nice pics of your ride yet?

nice pics? erm... no. (i do have some, just took them all i need is a place to upload them) but they are definently not nice.

i am a uni student, last exam in a few days, then i have 4 months to work on herbert and work to get money to spend on tools and parts for herbert.

(temporary name, an amalgam of what he get's called the most)

so hopefully around the end of the holidays i'll obtain a compressor and gun and give him a coat of paint. at the moment i am going with the new commodore metallic green.

he is currently white (72 superbeetle) with a few brown spots.

futre plans include:
fix body niggles.
keep it running
install central locking and a car alarm.

and spend a hell of alot of time at the beach.

the name is a hangover from when i first explored the net (bout 7 years ago i reckon, no wait 9) i chose it as my name, the plus was it was not taken anywhere, the minus, well i couldn't spell. it's stayed with me ever since.

and no no beard, but i do have the innate ability to grow one in a few days. so i have a perpetual 5 o'clock shadow.
