rob
hey robnjo,
you weren't askin about the mauve coloured t3 square that was for sale in the carpark were you ????
I had a good look at that. It was still regestered and she drove it there, but it had way too much tinworm to consider restoring as far as i was
concerned, - been a coast car - and all the upholstery was ratty too
yes that would be the one ...so there was a lot of rust?where abouts-in body? or pan?or realy to far gone?
in the doors esp rh , in the gutters at the rear as usual but the worst was the lh side pillar at the base of the screen,
my girlfriend at the time was thinking of getting a type3 so i had a good look at it, but once i saw that pillar i kept walkin - yuk. I didn't
lift the carpets to look at the pan, I lost interest when i saw the pillar. I am not saying it can't be repaired but i have seen alot better
examples around for about the same money.
In addition, they musn't have done alot of prep for the purple paint, it was flaking off in alot of places, and i daresay you'd have to get
rid of it all to give it as decent respray.
On the upside she was running and regestered though
sorry to be the bearer of bad news,
Col
Its been offerd to me for 500 bucks so am still wondering if I could do it up. I might go and have a look at it on this monday I think.otherwise I buy
it and scrap it if I can get it for less.either way I'll let you know how I go.
