Thought there should be a spot for people to post their reviews of DOTVW :bounce
Big thanks to the VW-Club for putting on the event! Without them there would'nt be a scene nor shows in this state:thumb
So yeah, post your thoughts, suggestions, a photo or two (if they have'nt been posted yet :P), etc, etc...
Cheers,
Cam
I thought it was the best one of the three I've been to. The venue was 100% better than either Croydon or Altona. Under cover areas were the major improvement. :thumb
What happened to my post!?
N
I did. I tried to delete a multiple post and lost all but Cam's original post, sorry. Have notified admin, but it might be a while until anything can be done, if anything at all. Might be easier for you to post again. Did you notice if there were any other posts?
Col, did mine come up multiple times?
I think mine was the only one! Anyway here goes...
Out of the 4 I have been to this one was the best, in way of Quality of cars. Venue was nice, but TOO FAR. The quality of vehicles was real good. The
photos dont do them justice! Thanks to everyone involved...TOP JOB!
N!
Yeah, was a cool venue. Still prefered Monash, but that was yeeeeaaaars ago now.
Was cool to meet you, Nectar. Love your Notch too. Theres something extra cruisy/cool about full autos.
Agree with you on the distance as well, was way too far. We came from St-Kilda. Spent longer driving than what we did at the show. Not many new cars
there tho so after an hour we'd seen everything twice:jesus
But day of is still a great show. Maybe next year it can be worked in with/before one of the VW drag nights
Cool to meet you too Cam. Thanks for the love towards the notch!
N!
np's man. It's a sweet ride, thats for sure. Any news on that Merc you were looking at?
No-one wants to pay me 4500 for the notch, so NO merc at this stage. One day! The merc also may have to wait cause there was a little something there
yesturday that tickled my fancy.... I forgot to put the for sale sign on the car! I was so excited to look at all the other cars, so...
N!
I was waiting for you to pipe up Nectar on what was for sale. Saw the pics that Jenz posted and a particular for sale caught my eye.
Something a little like mine, but earlier perhaps?
By the way.....anyone know any details on that yellow splitty for sale for $12k? Looked very sweet.
Squiz.......
S, I got the guys card, will call him either tonight or tomorrow night!
.....Narrowed beam, earlies, and a new paint job, will look sweet! Fingers crossed he doesnt want Drug money for it!
N!
Good luck Nectar. If it is to be, then it will happen. Hmmmm....bagged.
Might paint a black swoosh down the side of mine......
Squiz.....
It was my first event so I thought it was very cool I wish I brought
a camera though, so many nice dubs ...
The venue was good, a little far but it was a nice drive ...
N that beetle cab was very sweet!!! It's a great buy if you get it...I think there are a couple of people interested, but whether they do
anything is another thing...
I was talking to the woman who was selling the splitty but forgot to get her details...they are seriously selling to buy a house so it must be
advertised somewhere...
She was hoping to use it as her wedding car..maybe whoever buys it lets them use it for this!!!!
p.s. the venue was great but can see how it was a bit far for some people. I guess with us all scattered someone has to do the drive each year....
It was close for me but last year it was Altona...across town...
Facilities were good at Yarra Glen, no porta loos needed etc.... and somewhere to cater from....
Having some undercover areas was good:thumb So lucky it didn't rain on the day
Must be time they had it down my way, maybe Dandenong?
I agree with the venue being good logistically. The only other place closer to the city that springs to mind is Sandown Raceway. They have grass
area's, undercover, facilities etc.
It was definitley a lot nicer than Altona, including the drive there. I don't mind the drive personally.
The Swap meet and cars combo is really good too.
