I left Cairns ( yes I actually made it ! ) a couple of days ago after I had my baby fixed a little... nothing dramatic and while she spent her days at a cool VW place I got to see Cairns and meet heaps of people at the backpackers... now I'm on magnetic island and enjoying fantastic tropical life, beaches, sailing tours... its a great trip so far and I'll be writing a bit more detailled when I'm back in Melbourne ! keep cruisin !!! Crikies, you didn't muck around. Did you get to see anything on your way up. What were you carrying a part for Comet?

Sorry, I know that would throw you when I read the post afterwards. 'Comet' is/was a Qld courier company which specialised in overnight parcels.

I'm in Wallsend which is in the Western Suburbs of Newcastle and almost next to the Freeway that goes into Sydney. Sydney is just inder two hours south from where we live.

If you coming down the Eastcoast, either via the New England (inland) of the Pacific Highways, were about 10 minutes drive south from where they join at Berisfield.
