Hey, great to hear sooty!!!
So your back terrorising the streets again! Lets hope all the troubles are behind you now.

I too am working on a new motor for Andy, but I have the luxury of a spare moter. Just picked the wrong time of year to do it, every ones in holiday mode.

Hope to see you on the road soon!!

KruizinKombi - December 12th, 2003 at 04:31 PM

I too had my kombi off the road for three months during its engine rebuild, and I can't describe the kind of withdrawal pain I had to suffer. I did have the use of Heather's nice 68 bug during that time, but it just wasn't the same!! :(

Jay_1965vw - December 12th, 2003 at 08:21 PM

9 months without my baby car nearly killed me. I was SO happy to have him back :)

sooty - December 15th, 2003 at 08:54 AM

Unfortunately my hubby is under the misguided impression that it's a x-mas party for all his mates!!!!

would be interesting to watch our friends cope with a group of vw lovers (they have enough trouble coping with me!!)

sounds like a great idea for after x-mas tho....will have a think about it.

Not sure that my yard is big enough, but all the vw's would annoy the neighbours :D (they hate our street being blocked by parked cars....called the council on me once)

Midlife crisis - December 15th, 2003 at 10:15 AM
