Thought you guys might like to have a look at this - its another forum I subscribe to.
Its a tech forum that cover everything from PCs' to Sat TV.

They lawyers threatening legal action could be in a bit of trouble as the forum has almost 22,000 members and they are talking about setting up a "Fighting Fund"

The basic gist is that one of the Pay TV Providers is trying to get the details of one of the forum members who did something a bit silly they sent a letter demanding that the account be immeadialty deleted - which admin did and then asked that he supply details of the person who set the account up - which he couldn't do because it had been deleted.

anyway its something for all ppl whoi use and run forums to be aware of.

So, someone pretended to be someone famous and got sued?

no , someone pretended to be an executive from the pay tv company and even included his personal deatails in the account profile and the FORUM is being sued.

Geez some people do dumb things....

Trouble is they make it hard for everyone else cos things get stricter and more controlled......if not someone going down the drain due to legalities and costs...
