Just the usual....no rust, all electrics work - lights etc- no oil leaks. Good brakes, good glass etc. From the work you have done it should fly through!!! Have had vehicles knocked back in the past for not having the heater installed etc. Will depend on the person doing the safety cert. Some go by the book and are very strict. Others "go by the book" but have common sense. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!Leave the original steering wheel on!!!!:bounce

Had one done on the type 3 a few months ago and was knocked on an oil leak. Make sure the engine is clean and they can see no new oil leaks, some knock it on old stains. I also got knocked back because I didn't have an interior trim on one door. They said it was a safety thing, so had to make one to get through.
Depending on where you are having it done it doesn't matter what, they will find something wrong. Don't panic, you have 14 days to right the wrongs and still get them to pass the roadworthy.

GOOD LUCK

Marc

Tell them what you fixed then they can see work has been done on the car and its been looked after and they seem to be more lenient, or with me anyway

main seal to gear box makes a little drip sometimes. Mainly that or just blame it on the case breather tube :)

WEll we took it in today..

IT FAILED!

Not because of anything mechanical or physical....

Just the fact that the compliance plate was for a different shell...using 2 cars to make one has it disadvantages.

Now we gotta get all this special stuff from the cops saying it aint stolen.

Otherwise she passed with flying colours!
So thats getting done tommorow..hopefully fixed soon...

The cops insist the only way to do it is by fax...so we gotta wait (without making phone calls) for it to come...how lame

They wouldnt let us walk in and get it

Seen the pics on your other post - you've done a great job, and it's been interesting watching the progress.

You should put what you've learnt from passing rego into a new thread for others to learn from. That compliance plate issue I'm sure has caught others before.

Good luck!

Squiz.......
