Halfway between Melb/Adel Western Highway. Wimmera River and Little Desert National Park...

Not sure about Dimboola itself, but there is a few VW nuts in the Nhill / Kaniva area I know of and we have a member of Volksclub Bendigo from Horsham who has a nice KG and a nice '54 Beetle. Can put you in touch with them if you like.
