I'll be spending Xmas Day wandering lost around Sydney past all the closed shops, looking for somewhere to buy lunch and a VW magazine... I'm catching the train to Qld to see 11CAB and friends, and have a stopover for most of Xmas Day.

Oh man, that sucks Col.. Big time.

Kol....go to China Town....there should be a place to eat there....or the Jewish cafe area if there is one in town.....Acland St in St Kilda is open as per usual on Chrissy day (Melbourne I know, but an example)

Catch a ferry to Manly..... there are so many travellers in Sydney in the same boat as you.... Train it to Circular Quay from Sydney Central Station.....I'd imagine the Harbour would be buzzing...

$13 gets you a Day Tripper Pass which give unlimited bus, train and ferry transport around Sydney - great value...

The Chrissy party on the weekend was great, one of our best Klub events yet...thanks Paul and Jane for hosting.

Also surfing on the Gold Coast makes you appreciate how good we have it in Byron (except for regular siting of sharks of late around the beaches of Byron), alot of fun was had in the water with the boys...
