Mornin' all (well it is when I'm writing this)
A quick note to introduce myself.
I've just become the proud (?) owner of a '68 convertable. Which I think was painted by two mates running around the car, one with a can of
black paint, the other with a can of blue!
Anyway theirs heaps of little fixes to do so expect heaps of stupid questions later.
At least they cant be as hard as my last hobby, a '78 V12 Jag !
Cheers.
Roger.
G'day....How cool!!!!:thumb
Was it a Chrissy present....?
It is morning....I've eaten too much and can't sleep:jesus
hi softop, the jags are a verry nice car to drive, but the VWs so much cooler and more fun,
welcome softop, hope you gain as many laughs and help as most of us have....:beer:beer:beer
Thanks for the welcome people.
jenz58...Sort've a crissy present.... to myself, we needed another car for me to get to work and back (The Dragon Lady refuses to get out of bed
at 2am!) and I cant see me driving a rice burner.
tracash242...and the best bit is VW's DONT have electrics by the Prince of darkness, LUCAS!
wibble....Only had it 3 days and having heaps of laughs, especially at the bare live wires the PO had lying around near the petrol tank!!
On another board in here someone was asking about females who like VW's. Get a convertable! My daughter (age 26) wants it, my sons girlfriend
(age 27) wants it and my wife (age ??) thinks it's brilliant.
As you've probably guessed by the above paragraph I'm an old phart, but I never had time for a mid-life crisis when I turned 40, so I'm
having it now. Better late than never :-)

Hi Congrats to you on your latest purchase.
Yes they are a car everyone seems to want or borrow at some time.
They are fun, I hope you have plenty of years ahead of happy VW motoring...
