I regularly test the forum from a range of low privilege accounts and browsers. I posted that (and this) post from Mozilla rather than my normal Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 with hotfixes.

I do this to make sure that the site works fine using browsers other than IE. If you have a Mac or use Linux, you will like this.

I create test accounts from time to time to ensure that the registration process is working, as I heard from multiple sources that e-mail to some newbies doesn't get there. I usually clean them up afterwards.

What I forgot to do is log out and log back as myself rather than one of my test accounts. The post still stands though - I always leave my name in there, and usually the reason why I edited. If the post is truly offensive, I'll suspend it and U2U the person responsible with a copy so they can try again. I hope this is the process the other mods use.
