hey all need to know a blue for the ute. can you guys help with the names and a direction to a suitable colour.

on the taillight post I said dont quote me on Dove blue, BUt I checked on the samba.com and Dove blue was offered as a colour fro 58-63, So I would say thats the colour your looking for. IT is a real nice colour for any dub...

Dove blue all the way! HAve you seen the Hot VW's with the 23 window on the cover, I think it was septermber issue, Dove blue really works on Kombies!

Mt ute is painted the colour it came from the factory, Gulf Blue.

Does anyone have the book "The Volkswagen Beetle Vintage, Restored, Customised and New" by Nigel Grimshaw?? If you do go to page 20 and tell me the colour...it's the one I want...They neglected to say what colour it is....it's a 58 with a black Ragtop....it goes well......:kiss

The blue on the '61 is a Nissan commercial colour.

i needed a paint colour so i took of my petrol flap (which you cannot do because it is not painted) and just tell the dude at the auto paint shop what type of car and what year and you can look through a stack of sheets with different vw colours so you can compare and choose. Auto west in penrith were very helpful if you live near there.
