Thanks to Graham (11CAB) and Mel, I had a great time in Brisbane over the past three weeks....

Aside from the usual holiday pleasures of camping and not having to do much, I also got to drive Rick's (Manx020) kombi from Brisbane to Noosa, which was an unexpected pleasure as I had left my kombi at home this trip. 1st pic is the view from the driver's seat of Rick's 'Stealth Bus' as we made our way up the beach to the campsite at Freshwater Creek.

2nd pic is one of the goannas I caught at Freshwater... good eating!!! :thumb (Not really... I just let the kids have a pat )

3rd pic is the fine I got while driving Rick's Manx. No, I wasn't being silly, Constable Roids got us for having a number plate obscured by the luggage rack supports. Thanks to Rick for letting me drive his baby, I had a great time!!! :thumb

4th pic is of some of the KlubVW Bayside members, who invited me along to their club meeting. I had a great time talking VWs (and other crap) and meeting some more forum members, including 72Twincab (right of pic), Black Math and Boozer.

I also got to briefly catch up with some of the Manx Club members that I first met on the beach 2 years ago, it was great to see them again. Terry, next time I'll get you a livelier goanna! :P

Thanks to everyone who made me feel welcome, especially Rick, Sue, Graham and Mel and families. I had a great time!!!!
