Anyone know who the Aussie owner was. By the original looks of the car , the list would be pretty short.
yeah i saw that too adam, weird
im pretty sure aussie bound beetles came in MPH until about 74 or so. and has anyone ever seen front bullet indicators like that????
I would say the indicators are for USA specs too.
USA specs? the car came from australia and i have never ever seen indicators like that b4
Hey it has bolts in the pillars for the seat belts just like Bel
Must have been common practice
I have seen those indicators before on an old truck! Would guess they are some sort of aftermarket additon. Bolts in the b pillars was a common practice for mounting seat belts in Aus, have seen those in old holdens as well.
Yeah, pretty sure they are just lights off an old truck, like the ones you see on the roofs - outline light(?)
Look like they have been left in the sun.
As for the speedo - i guess ALL European bugs km speedo's
I think thats the one that came outta Miranda in Sydney last year and was sold over to the US for a few dollars.
I had a new 1300 beetle in 74 which had a speedo in MPH with a KMH sticker on the glass. So I guess 74 was about when they changed over.
would any one have seen these rubber bits around as i have one of these racks for my oval and need all four rubbers
