looking for some one doing a ej 20 motor swap .?

I was chatting to Bob? from DingBobs Trikes at the Day of the VW in December and he mentioned that he was looking at doing this with a WRX motor and that they had previously done subaru motors into trikes.. He might be worth chatting to. Their web site is

I must say to to those you would consider this WRX motor in three wheels trikes do not handel nore would you control the beast.
The adr rules may stop this very soon ,as with the V8 & V6 powerd trikes .

To give some idea of power ( 1.3 ltr turbo)

MY mates 1.3ltr 1970 toyota corola turbo MR2 powerd two door lifts the wheels from a standing start .It scares the shit out of me ,smokes the wheels into 5 gear and the thing is still side ways on the road !

I can tell you that you would come unstuck with a turbo trike ,The biggest problem is you can not power into a corner they go wide .a bike leans over a trike pushes out .
we now put a sway bar on the rear of the trikes to keep them flat into the corners this helps .
To let you know the subaru motors bob uses are of the old type ea 81 ? carbi type .
