Hey all. Been a longtime Golf/Jetta owner but am making my first foray into the classic VW scene. I'm interested in getting a Type 3 and will be
checking one out in Sydney this weekend.
Can anyone advise what I need to look out for? Obviously rust is a big factor but which bits? Any other advice?
Thanks all and be seeing you round!

Welcome to Type 3s! Another place to look is top of the front guards, seen a lot bubbling there.
Nice one. Cheers for the advice.
How do they hold up in traffic? Are they a useable daily ride?
Yes. I have been driving mine everyday for 3 years! I too came from a golf, dont regret it one bit...
