Our good deed done for the day..
BenettonVW - February 3rd, 2004 at 11:20 AM

Sikdub and myself rescued an elderly gentleman yesterday, as we saw his Karmann Ghia being towed into a workshop in a small town we were hunting for VW's in..

It ended up what he needed was a rotor button, so we headed back to my place, had a quick look, grabbed a couple, and took off. He was quite grateful of course, offering us $50 as he asked "How much do I owe ya boys?". Seeing a Karmann Ghia in these parts is quite uncommon, and possibly the first one I've seen for a long time in the area. After refusing the guys money, we went our seperate ways, after giving him my card for when he wants to sell it, and bid him happy motoring..

You didn't just happen to ask him in general conversation what colour his car is? Standard line of chit-chat I know....

I am thinking mango green/seagull grey to paint my ghia, I think that car may be that combo. Only seen it on paint chips.

Yeah without asking him, dunno. But I have a feeling the Mango is right, but the roof was more white from memory, but my memory isn't worth the 5% of my brain that it takes up..
