Don't mean to hijack this post but just quickly... Judy I think I saw you at Byron on Monday, sweet black bug, gorgeous blonde in the front, turning right at the roundabout at the bottom end of town heading south? I was in a orange/white deluxe microbus (also called Judy!!). Thanks for the wave!

Also saw 4 splitties, most I've seen on the road in one day for ages/ever!?

Yes my work takes me all over Byron driving the ol girl around all day....
One great thing about it is I get to see some really nice VW's on the road & when I park I meet some really nice people who want to chat about VW's all the time.
So thats the good thing about my work....

anyone have a pick of the single cab in the car park in a sorta light grey colour??? had a aussieveedubber.com sticker on it and also klub vw byron sticker on it!!! anywayz i reacon it was the sweetest kombi there and wont to see pics of it and chat to the owner!!

Man, what a fantastic turnout. Last year in Canberra we had nearly 30 cars total on our cruise, and I thought that was big. You must have had at least 30 beetles!!! You will all have to come to Canberra on the 25th and 26th of September to help boost our numbers...
I dont know how you guys cope without A/C up northern NSW. My GTI doesnt have air, so I hijack my girlfriends Vento all the time in summer....
Hmmm... didnt see any watercooled stuff.... Was there any there?

did anyone happen to get any of the type 3's though? (all 6 of them...sadly the minority...) especially that type4 that won...very very nice and i have never seen anything like it before....would like to have some photos....
aside from that, it was an awesome day, and to top it off...my birthday...first time i have ever been out of bed by 6am on a bday....especially a sunday...felt like a total car-nerd pathetic person...but was by far the nicest way to spend the day.
congrats to the organisers......my first dubs by the pub and definately not my last....smiled all day it was great..just wish there were more T3s......

vw shows are realy great but a cruise of that size to a show...bloody awesome can't stop thinking of what a fab day it was:thumb:thumb
