Ok the first weekend in august i know, but the 1st of august is a sunday.
so is it that weekend or the next being the 7th and 8th?
please someone tell me so i can put in for time off.

as i was aware,it will be fri july30 to mon aug 2.

Most people drive to Nambucca Valla park on the Friday.. the 30th JULY

Saturday Morning 31st JULY
the convoy from Valla Park to Nambucca township. The main street filled with VWs until noon... then back to Valla Park - swap meet is on.. or drive around etc

SUNDAY 1st August -
Show & Shine & the Main SWAP Meet is on all day at VALLA PARK.. until late afternoon

MONDAY drive Home usually...

You could drive home on Sunday night.. depending on how far You have to drive.

I always stay at a Motel in Nambucca itself

Without wanting to sound rude, but I cant recall having been there before, is there anything else to do apart from Dub related activities, is there a beach, how do I sell this to a prospective travelling companion ?

Things to say to convince your female travelling companion to go to Valla....
1. Nice drive & plenty to look at?
2. Beaches nearby for swim/surf.
3. Local shopping centres & Nambucca has some nice little shops....
4. Weekend away together (quality time)
5. There is other girls going...
6. You could book a motel or if she likes to camp...camping ground...let her decide which one!
6. One the way back stop at tourist spots....ie The Big Banana, Coffs Harbour & Grafton.

You can pick a few of those to sell the idea of going to Valla.

Oh man.. I was hoping it would be the next weekend, i.e.7th & 8th.

I've got a tip for anyone camping in a tent. Take a heater! I took me little gatrage fan heater last year and pointed it into the tent from just outside the door and it worked a treat. The nights were bloody freezing. I was almost gunna put some antifreeze in me windscreen washer bottle. I'll definately be packin me heater again this year....

Will it be on next year? Gonna miss it this year. Europe calls

No One knows about next year as yet.. Keep Your fingers crossed... someone may host it again in the future... but Next Year ???? I really hope someone takes over... The BEST VW Event in Australia... We are all going to Miss it... Better than Europe too....
