blutopless2 - February 22nd, 2004 at 01:59 PM

its interesting the wide variety in peoples background yet to still have the common interest in VW. would be interested to know what people's occupation is and brief description of job roles etc (if they aren't obvious)

i am an instrument electrical technician, work for a petrochemical company. i work on process control equipment like temperature, flow, pressure and level control and gas/liquid chromatography as well as electric motors and PLC control etc.
no background in cars.

with out this sound like it comes across wrong... *treads carefully and with an honest, sincere smile* judy and danielle, would seem like you are both working on the inside track to hunt down those old and much cherished vw's...:D :D.

i used to be in retail. was showroom/sales manager for upmarket appliance store in dydney. am now just trying to enjoy the quiet life in the country. but with the vw habbit and the ongoing desire to accumulate, the lady is making do a little part time stuff to cover regos and aquisitions...:D

Hospitals
Shopping centres

I am the estimator. I sit at a desk and look at plans. Then i stick my finger up my nose and try and guess how much it will cost. Typical job is like $1mil. Biggest we have done is $15 mil. The chilled water pipes were 500mm dia :o (for those that care :D ) but just imagine trying to weld just one elbow!

Gives me PLENTY of time to log on and AVD all day :D

which facility do you work in?
My other half works at one in North Adelaide.

I work in a bicycle shop in Adelaide's N.E. suburbs, have done for over 5 years. After spending about 10 years as a Chef, and wasting 4 years doing an apprenticeship in the railways as an Electrical fitter.
