No show and shine ! no drag racing !no swap meets! Just a load of vw's in one beautiful place. Thats right , an unoffical gathering of vw's
from all over the Sydney areas and beyond. Read on ..............
The idea is to have a cruise -in using Centenial Park in the Eastern Suburbs. The place is a massive oval in great parkland with parking everywhere.
Great to cruise around as it's 25k's speed limit. Plenty of places to stop eat , let kids go nuts or should that be stop ,go nuts and eat
your kids , i don't know , i digress. No problems with rangers etc aslong as folk behave.
This is a mega venue for a cruise in!
The idea is to get as many dubs together as possible. I'm not trying to get an event together just a heap of people out for a days cruising
around . Bring food and drink and look forward to a day out in the park with your vw mates! Maybe an ideal time to collect for the 2 girls recently
hurt in an RTA? I have spoke to a few others on the forum about this and want to make it happen . So i am and here's a date
14 March 10am onwards
I know it may be short notice etc but even if you only have a drive around and stay 10 mins it doesn't matter ! This is only a trial but this has
the makings of a very relaxed day and alot of FUN for all. If it goes okay maybe another in a few months? Anyone up for it?

Getting good. I really think the idea of cruise-ins are the way to go. No pressures , turn up when you want , see some cars , meet some folk. I
don't know about anyone else but i mostly use my bug on w'ends only and love just to get out and have the chance to cruise abit. Just hope
we can get as many passing through as possible.

I was going to have a drive over this Sun and have a look but could meetlater this week , just about. We need to be in a quieter part of the park ,
by the Queenspark / Randwick part would be good. Just keep away from the barby and shop areas. Place is built to be a cruise-in ! I'll be in

So how many stickers do you need sir ?
I didn't know what to say so i had to go away and rethink this.
Looking on the bright side i reckon so far about say 16 cars / people have said they are interested. Cool , good , promising but lets face it pretty
piss poor. Out of the 16, 50% will drop out , that gives 8! Now if you think i'm going to get 8 stickers made , i'm not! LOL , gotta laugh.
Seriously out of 2000 members , god knows how many mates etc we have to do better and make an effort you lazy sods.Yes i know we are all over the
place etc and have commitments jobs , etc etc etc. For those that could , even if you just get there for an hour , weather permitting , if everyone
trys to get there , i promise you'll have a decent time.
I would like to go back to the guy and tell him i'll need at least 100! C'mon guys and girls , lets make this something good. !
One thing! Does anyone have a large tent or similar , whatever, that we can use as a focal point for the meet , etc and hang a big banner off!? As
i'm poor , there are no sponsors and at the moment theres little interest any help would be good.
One very last thing , just imagine.... A sunny day , vw's parked everywhere , happy faces , lots of people doing their 'thing' and
knowing that it was worth giving up your only day for a sleep in that you have and the day before getting a shine on your dub!

Can't make it dude.
I am having my interior installed on the 11th and i am not sure how long that will take.
Also my club (shoalhaven VW) have an invitation to show some cars at a Germania Day in woolongong.
So if my car is ready i will be expected to show up there.
