Heh & welcome to the forum.I had one of the best holidays of mt life down your way in Newquay........aahhhh memories!!

Would definetly love to see some more pics of your splitty.:D:D:DPRETTY PLEASE.;)

You don't live in Fawlty Towers (i.e. Farty Towels, Flowery Twats etc...) do you? The way to check is to see if you have a view of the Hanging Gardens Of Babylon, or the Sydney Harbour Bridge from your window. If you do, you're not in Torquay.
(I'm not even pissed) Welcome to the forum.

Sorry to disappoint you guys but the rides are friends the Double Cab is Tobys the Mercury is his brothers (camperbloke on bitswap.com), and the fasty belongs to groovybigal on bitswap.com, I unfortunately only own an early bay window, currently awaiting a resto, although I do have plans to get a splitty from CA, once I've finished the extension on me house.

Anyway thanks for the welcomes and I can't imagine why so many people would want to move down there from here I mean we have the cold the rain the snow, jesus what times the next flight and who's got a spare room for me :D

warb - February 27th, 2004 at 10:09 PM

cold rain and snow tends to rust vw's.... so you can keep it ;) welcome to aussieveedubbers :D

The UK scene is brilliant , some may even say better than Oz, just a shame about the salty roads. Saying that if you live on the coast in Oz your car gets eaten even quicker than UK! :thumb:D

Danny

Starbug - March 1st, 2004 at 01:23 PM

be that as it may dannyboy, but at least your car gets eaten quicker while you enjoy the warmth, sun, beaches and lifestyle!:D

welcome to the forums naughty... be as naughty in here as you like:)

naughty - March 2nd, 2004 at 02:03 AM

totally agree much rather be in Oz than stuck in the cold, dark Uk, to f**kin cold to work outside on me van, but at least with it off the road it ain't getten eaten by the salt off the roads...........just the tin worms it's already got :D

Well can't be too naughty on here not into cyber naughtyness prefer the real deal :P :D just ask my friends

tobie1 - March 2nd, 2004 at 07:51 AM

welcome.love torquay, used to pop in on way down to newquay aswell.spent endless summer days on top of watergate hill with one of the best back gardens in the land, abusing the unemployment benefit scheme in a red oxide 69 panel van with white stripe that later went olive green and yellow for the love of an ex girlfriend..tool!been living in sydney for 5 years almost now and would still prefer to be grinning from ear to ear in a vw driving down a windy cornish road any day..

twoguns - March 2nd, 2004 at 08:25 AM

hey naughty. i had a friend who came out from england a few years back. she loved the beaches here, the sun, the lifestyle and the people, even bought and drove a 72 t3 notch. but something drew here back to england. not exactly sure what. i mean even our beer is beter. ;) but nope. she went home for a visit and then came back to tell us she is moving back. i think she lives in corringham.

naughty - March 3rd, 2004 at 06:39 AM

twoguns sorry pal never heard of the place, but can understand your friend wanting to move back if she had to drink Aussie beer for the rest of her natural :cry can't beat warm english beer :o oops yes you can JD in vast quantities :D

twoguns - March 3rd, 2004 at 08:22 AM
