How do I find Qld history of my ghia
GASBNR - March 2nd, 2004 at 09:40 PM

I'm trying to find out the history of my 1960 Karmann Ghia.
I believe it was Delivered to QLD.
And was wondering who to contact in Qld(aka VICroads) or similar.
if anyone has an address to research the history I would be very grateful.
Cheers OL

not sure the address but i'm sure you can get a birth cert for your dub from wolfsburg...think it's bout $20. try their website or ask around, someone did it recently

It was Sky that got the birth certificate - but its pretty basic. What info will vicroads give out Ol?

you could try the queensland version of the rta, and the vic one too. qld should have the best history on it though...otherwise find out i fit was imported by a person or dealership...

I have the birth certificate from Germany already, but was interested in the History of the car from Delivery.

try the qld road authorities. if it came in through dealers then info shouldn't be hard to get as all the import records are kept. being a private import may be a bit more difficult, but not impossible

Is there a number or dept I should contact?

maybe try "queensland transport customer service centre"
now I'm not sure if this # works interstate but give it a go
132380 b/hours QLD time.
see how you go
