Wanted to borrow (our turn guys)
buzzbug - March 27th, 2004 at 10:22 PM

Wanted to borrow:
One night will be fine.
1983 to 1985 model.
Large headlights, constant high beam fine.
Small rear end with no hail damage preferable.
Do not mind German, Mexican, or Australian model but would really like a Brazillian.:P
Must be cheap to fill up and be ready to go at a moments notice.
Must be prepared to be admired by others but not touched.
A self homing chip must be installed so not to be in my garage in the morning.

(yes this is a joke, already happy with 1982 Australian model):thumb:thumb:P

:repuke ......................patter patter patter ptewwiee..

A cold silence falls upon the ladies side of the room. The group sit in stunned silence clasping thier shandies, faces showing a mixed reaction of shock and disbelief....

Gladis: "grab ya drinks luvvies, looks like it's oddball and pervies noight tonight"

Mavis: "ooh yes thought that fella looked a bit shifty, sittin there all rugged up in nuffin but his grey raincoat and thongs"

Beryl: "Don't forget to grab ya toy poodle fifi, martha...he said he likes em chipped"

Martha mutters under her breath: "bloody freak, must be a friend of Jim Rose"

Galdis: "I hear CWA is puttin on a bingo do tonight, lets go ladies".................

The ladies then proceed to leave the forum in disgust... The fellas are left sitting, wondering what just happened..

vwombat - March 28th, 2004 at 04:45 PM

Given that this is the commerce side of the forum, there's probably no room for love here.

The swapping part could get ugly tho'. Imagine what future swapmeets are going to look like, with people turning up in Lingerie, and testing each other's suspension...

I think the idea may generate a whole new group of VW enthusiasts?

$2.63 homebrand baja - March 28th, 2004 at 09:36 PM

:puke stay away from the rat fanciers.......hmmm and wat about those wizard car thingies......(theres a name for that kinds thing!)....................swap, meet,,,,,get it swaa---ppp meat..... yukkie. :jesus oohh boy the mind boggles....

grossssssss:P

(oh and btw buzz, the shoe was thrown by some ranting rat driver with tourettes, sitting in corner, picking pretzel crumbs from his navel?????? dunno sounded good anyway)

helbus - March 28th, 2004 at 10:32 PM

An 83 to 85 model eh!

It would be easy to find a Brazillian.

Now what about noise levels in those models?

You would think older models were noisier, but it doen't seem that way. The later models have less groans and more of a chatter.

Lokita - March 30th, 2004 at 12:23 PM

This little 82 model is suddenly feeling very old!
:(

It is a strange situation. A human hooks up with a VW and usually another one comes along. Sometimes the relationship ends and there is no more VW love. Sad but true.

From what I have seen It normally takes an average of 2.5 years to gestate and have another VW.

usually gestation is brought about by the rubbers deteriorating :D

wouldn't mind a nice 75 - 80 model, without cosmetic damage (no mysterious spray filler covering cracks and imperfections) colour immaterial, but no ex-drag cars, second hand okay, but as few drivers as possible, not interested in baggage (unless it's the interesting ratty kind) structurally sound, smooth performer, low maintenance with all fluids topped up. Inbuilt security system an advantage, must be available for test drive. just a quickie up the road would be fine ;)
*straps on catcher's mask and dog training gear while gritting teeth and grinning maniacally*

"Now Skeeter, we don't want no trouble.."

buzzbug - March 30th, 2004 at 08:39 PM
