I'm sorry we couldn't make it. We went to the Yarra Glen races today as part of a work social club function. Free food & drink for the day. Still while we were there I had memories of the DOTV.

BUGBOY - March 28th, 2004 at 07:53 PM

Thanks Guys!
Always have fun doing it.
Each year it just gets bigger and better.
Great to see heaps of new cars!
We had over 100 cars enter this year.
Just a little hot today as I went home medium to well done!;)
Just like to thank our sponsors as with out them this whole thing would not get off the ground.

Nathan

Nathan and Anthony....Mates; what a day, they get better every year. Just like old VWs and red wine. You have put the pressure on yaselves to go one better next time. But you will I'm sure. Thanks to all the sponsors as well.
Next year I will have to organise some way to get cookin if there is another total fire ban!
I hope all those nutbags who harp on about Melbourne weather notice the abundance of blue skies behind the beaming smiles and shiny dubs. If they don't; well there is no hope for them is there?
P.S I reckon the peoples voting system was a sensation. It got everybody checkin out everybody elses cars and some great conversations got goin. The smile on my face is gunna take weeks to wear off...........

Wow, what a day....Thanks for the kind words. The day was hot, tiring, and alot of work. And we love doing it knowing that the VW lovers of this state enjoy bringing there cars to show off, the quality of the cars was awsome. Swap meet vendors were in big demand and they did not disapoint the cashed up crowd. Weather was sunny and hot (a little too hot?) and the public interest from people coming into the market was huge.

After a hot spa and getting a good nights sleep (with a couple of panadole to get rid of the headache), it was all worth it from the kind and encouraging words from the people....thanks guys and gals.

The VW Cruisers would like to thank all who helped make Nathan and my job on the day a little easier with some of the little things that can get missed from a hectic day of organising.

Now, VW JAMBOREE 2005 bigger and better  here we come :thumb

mscabrio - March 30th, 2004 at 11:33 AM

Thanks heaps to Anthony, Nathan, Jodie and everyone for a sensational day !!!! That was my first Jamboree and I had a ball. The weather was tops and the cars were way cool. I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Sunday !!!!!!

Although I made the fatal mistake of not washing the interior of my car before I drove to work in a black top ..... Roof down all day Sunday in a dusty area, my black top was grey when I got to work !:bounce

blutopless2 - March 30th, 2004 at 01:31 PM

I would like to thank Anthony, Jodie and Nathan for organising the great day, and to those behind the scenes that helped out with the day. hope to see more vehicles there next year.
